Judgement

We respond to the needs of First Nations individuals in our city with judgement

We judge our government and ourselves for being complicit in creating the life conditions that dismantled healthy families and communities to a point that dis-health is common.

We educate ourselves and we strive for continued discomfort with these oppressive systems (See more on this at http://redrisingmagazine.ca/faq-on-being-an-indigenous-ally/).

And in the interim we serve, we support and we love 500 of our city’s under-loved every week.

Right now we’re writing an article about how we respond to the TRC Calls to Action but we thought this needed sharing now. We are judging! We are judging ourselves, and our leadership. Our judgement says we can do better, so lets.
